Selected light fd Naturally, we also have a reel for lighter fishing. Our selected light fd is actually a younger sibling to our exclusive medium FD. We didn´t make it too small as we wanted space to construct a reel with all the components we believe a reel should have. The little´un has six stainless steel ball bearings, titanium coated line roller and spool-rim, a silky smooth teflon drag system, and an unbeatable line laying system. The body, spool and lever are cast in aluminium to make the reel light and strong.

Selected medium freerunner Our selected freerunner medium RD is the perfect reel for carp and pike angling. The reel is equipped with a superb free spool system that is easily activated and deactivated. Freerun resistance is adjusted on the bottom of the reel. Our freerunner is loaded with seven ball bearings, titanium coating on all exposed parts, infinite anti-backlash system and line laying characteristics that can´t be beat. A few pointers about spin and casting reels Many Ballbearings or a few?. Many ball bearings will more often than not give You a smoother action and less wear and tear. More important is, however, what quality the ball bearings have, and where they have been placed in the reel. A reel with many, badly positioned ball bearings will be much less reliable than a reel with fewer, but better placed ball bearings. Evidently, quality and positioning are paramount. All BROMAN reels are loaded with high-quality, stainless steel ball bearings, placed where they make the most difference. Holes don´t always make sense. We are the first to admit that holes in the casing and support of a reel can look good, and that they probably have been put in a reel for a reason: They lower the wheight and give the reel a cool design. However, You should consider these facts first: Holes open the reel to moisture and dirt, and sometimes damage the structural integrity of the reel. These are factors that can significantly lower the life expectancy of a reel. All BROMAN reels have holes only where they make sense, and not where they might cause trouble

Selected casting 11ft Looking for a rod that can handle anything You throw at or with it? This is the rod for heavy angling for large salmon and sea trout in swift, strong waters! This is the rod that has taken the most research and the longest time to design. All in all we spent over 3 years and landed well over 200 salmon to find a rod with the desired capabilities. Actually, we designed it with an old Swedish Arjon Vattnan glass fiber rod in mind, and we wanted the same deep, slow yet sensitive action. The result is an 11-foot rod with superior components and a strength that cannot be beat. You can throw everything between 20g lures to 140g sinkers with it (actually, with the right technique, you can tackle significantly more, and the rod will not complain!) On top of this we wanted it to handle both spinning and multiplier reels in mind with the same ease, so that You have to bring one rod only, in case circumstances change out there by the rapids. Exclusive 5-6 light 9 ft It hard to describe this rod in words, but we dare say that it is the dream rod for fishing for small trout and small salmon in creeks and small rivers. Never before have we had the pleasure to cast with a rod as harmonious as this. One could say that it is loaded with feeling! The unique thing about this rod is that its action is quite slow and gentle, yet has enough reserve power for use when the situation demands it, for really long casts or when the wind suddenly turns! Another unusual feature is that it, despite having a gentle and slow action, handles spey and roll casts as easily as overhand. Our 7-8 is unbelievably easy to cast, with a distinct medium fast progressive action that makes drilling fun and shooting the line easy. We made it a 9-footer to counteract aching hands and shoulders, a common legacy after a long days work down by the river. Broman leaders A fly leader should be as thin, strong and non-stretchable as possible, to increase both efficiency as well as response. This is why we´ve chosen to offer You leader material in fluorocarbon only. Fluorocarbon is a cross between mono and Kevlar lines. Not as strong as Kevlar, yet less stretchable than mono lines. They are invisible to the fish, and much easier to handle than Kevlar or mono. They will hold for low back casts and will not twist as easily as the more common mono line leaders. Spoons Our spoons have the same purpose as the other lures in our collection: To trick fish using movement and colouring. Thus, we also maned these spoons after famous tricksters and deceivers. Loke and sickan are well known in Sweden, as characters who are constantly out to get the better of someone. Sickan and Loke are made by hand in Sweden by Alf Lindberg. He lives in Sweden, but was born Finland, a country with perhaps the strongest and oldest lure making tradition in the world. These spoons come in three sizes and three colour schemes per model, each tested and true to trick our most desirable fish species to strike, weather and wind not withstanding.
