Single Seater Circuit Experience This single seater experience delivers an adrenaline fuelled session using full race spec 180bhp Formula cars capable of firing up to 0-60 in 4 seconds! Uniquely all drivers will have the opportunity to purchase data and telemetry read outs that will assist the driver in his/hers driving technique. Following a briefing you'll be strapped into the four point racing harness. Then you take to the track and are paced around the circuit in groups of four led by an instructor for 10 minutes. Once familiar with the circuit it's time to turn up the heat and enjoy a rip-roaring 20 minutes of "free lapping". Then its time for the single seater Formula Ford 2000 racing car....fantastic! Single Seater Oval Experience Imagine blending in the power of a 180bhp single seater race car (capable of 0-60mph in a fraction over 4 seconds) in a corner that has 8 degrees of banking, increasing the speed from 100mph up to 125mph on the exit. You will feel the lateral, negative and inline G's rushing through your body, sensations usually reserved only for fighter pilots! Following a full briefing on technique and safety you'll be introduced to the Formula Single Seaters. You will be strapped into the four point racing harness and the cockpit controls will be explained. Heavy Track Military 1/2 Day This full on military ½ day gives you the chance to get you’re your hands on some of the heaviest land-going military hardware ever built on a purpose built off road course! Following an introduction and safety briefing from your instructor it’s off to the course to drive the awesome 6x6 Saracen Armoured Troop Transporter with its 'straight eight' Rolls-Royce 6 litre engine. Next up it’s the 16.5 tonne FV432 heavy armour personnel carrier and for the big finale it’s time to get ready for the big daddy of military vehicles – a Chieftain main battle tank. Weighing in at a healthy 56 tonnes and with just over 750bhp of raw power this beast goes anywhere and flat packs everything in it’s path! A guaranteed once in a lifetime experience! The session includes pastries/ cakes upon arrival and complimentary tea/ coffee/ cold drinks. All safety equipment, overalls and instruction are provided Lock Stock & Barrel Day If you are looking for a fun packed day of weird and wild activities with the emphasis on fun then this is it. Starting at 09:30 and rounding of at 17:30 you will try at least 5 different and challenging activities including the ever popular tank driving and Airsoft (a new low impact version of Paintball). Upon arrival guests will be served bacon butties (vegetarian options available) and tea/ coffee. Following an introduction and safety briefing from the instructors you will get to try some of the following: * Military Vehicle Driving * Hovercraft slalom * Clay Pigeon Shooting * Archery * Airsoft – (Like Paintball only more fun and less painful) * Mini Digger Fun * SAS Survival skills * Radio Controlled Tanks A typical day will start with some military vehicle driving in the morning on either the 16.5 tonne FV432 , the 8.5 tonne Saracen Troop Transporter or the 56 tonne Chieftain Tank. After the driving it’s time for some military manoeuvres of your own as you get kitted up and race into action on our Airsoft game zones (similar to Paintball without the paint!) In teams you will need to devise an attack plan to successfully come out on top over a series of game formats such as ‘last team standing’ & ‘capture the flag’. Following a two course lunch the action hots up as you get to try some of the other kit available on site such as the mini diggers, hover crafts, clay pigeon to name a few. As a grand finale to the day the highest scoring player will get to crush a car in our very own 56 tonne Chieftain Tank! The session includes catering and refreshments throughout the day. All safety equipment, overalls and instruction are provided. Military Driving Course This challenging 4 hour military experience provides you the fantastic opportunity to drive 4 military legends over some challenging & very muddy off road terrain. The vehicles you will drive are: * Snowcat * The Armoured Personnel Carrier FV432 * The Alvis Stalwart FV623 (All terrain vehicle). * The Sultan Command Vehicle Snowcat The Snowcat is an articulated tracked vehicle that is used by the military for transporting troops over snow. This is a fun vehicle to manoeuvre through a variety of obstacles. The Armoured Personnel Carrier FV432 The FV432 Armoured Personnel Carrier is designed to carry troops into battle over the most challenging terrain. Weighing 15 tons and powered by an 8 litre Rolls Royce engine, you will manoeuvre this incredible vehicle around our off road course where you will encounter a number of serious dips and ditches! The Sultan Command Vehicle The Sultan is the command and control variant of the CVR(T) family of vehicles which came into service after 1972. This tracked vehicle is light & highly mobile & was used as a command or headquarters vehicle in armoured reconnaissance formations. It has an expanded upper hull to accommodate communications equipment and crew with a Jaguar 4.2 litre engine. Alvis Stalwart FV632 - Six Wheel All Terrain Vehicle To round off this unique heavy duty driving session you will have a go on our amphibious 6 wheel drive personnel carrier. These machines literally go anywhere on land or water and power effortlessly through deep water filled ditches and choppy terrain alike. To ensure you get the most out of your day you will receive a full vehicle briefing at every stage and our fully trained instructors will be on hand to offer advice and guidance. The session will end of with a debrief and certificate presentation. Military Vehicles Madness An exciting half day of military madness complete with big vehicles and tons of mud. Few events compare to being in control of a series of massive military vehicles weighing in at 55 tonnes plus that literally go anywhere and flatten everything!. During this 3 hour event you will receive a full safety briefing from our expert instructors and get to grips with the following: * Drive a Chieftain Main Battle Tank * Drive an Abbot Tank * Drive an Armoured Personnel Carrier * Ride on a Chieftain or Abbot Tank * Drive a Quad Bike The day will round off with a certificate and prize giving presentation. Monster Car Crush This totally unique experience puts you at the wheel of the only purpose built dual control monster truck in the UK. After being given an insight into how the Monster Truck was constructed and her unusual drive system, you will be strapped into the drivers seat, (located 10ft from the ground!), and taught how to control this monster vehicle over extreme terrain. During your 30-minute lesson you will learn to fully utilise the trucks 6’6” suspension and crush a variety of cars with the 66” high giant tyres! You will start by driving on a man made obstacle course to allow you to get used to the controls and being so high off the ground. After that you will move onto a more natural course with dips and humps before you head to the main event of the day – Car Crushing! If you’ve had a hard week then what better way could there be to let off some steam as you slowly drive over and crush all the cars in your path reaping destruction. This is a unique opportunity to get to grips with the ultimate boys toy on an experience you will never forget!!!! Multi Driving Day This is your chance to get to grips with 5 totally different styles of vehicles in a full day event packed with challenges, competitions and mud splashing action!. 6x6 Saracen Troop Carrier Can you master the controls of the 6x6 Saracen Troop Carrier? Well there is only one way to find out! The 8.5 tonne 6x6 wheel Saracen armoured personnel carriers present a real driving challenge. You will take to the controls of this unique vehicle on a special off-road track following a briefing on the specific controls and use of the vehicle to ensure that you can most the most of your time on the track. 4x4 Ferret Armoured Scout Car This is a 4x4 event with a difference! Our Ferret armoured cars do not compare with their civvy-street counterparts, and will provide a new insight into 4x4 driving. Ferrets have served armies all over the world and hundreds are now privately owned and loved, powered by a 4.2 litre Rolls Royce engine they are nippy, responsive and have a very unusual driving position. Nothing is more fun in deep mud! 16 Ton Armoured Personnel Carrier Track-laying vehicles drive in a very different way to wheeled vehicles. Our instructors will show you the controls (" what no steering wheel?") then it will be up to you to master and manoeuvre around a challenging course. We have a wide range of track laying vehicles from the ultra-fast CVR(T) range through to our mighty Chieftain. Whichever one of our military fleet you drive on the day you can be sure it’ll going over anything and flatten everything!! Mini-Digger These multi-controlled vehicles, offer a puzzling driving challenge! 11 Different actions with 5 different controls! It's a lot to master but if you can you'll be leading your team to victory! Basically you push the two track levers forward to go forward, and the side levers control the boom and cab rotation, bucket and arm. When you want to go backwards you just pull the track levers backwards ... except of course when you're facing backwards because then, of course, some of the controls are reversed ... and some aren't! Now, when you're facing sideways ... , well you'll work it out. Easy really & tremendous fun. Hovercraft Your session in our hovercrafts is a fantastic way to end the day. Driving or ‘piloting’ a hovercraft is like no other vehicle you will have driven before. They fly in any direction as easily as any other - even backwards, but if you can master the all-dimensional thinking needed to keep them going in the direction you want them to, then you’ll really start to enjoy their full potential. Will you be able to master the machine & complete the slalom? Our professional instructors will look after you throughout the day and ensure you learn how to drive each vehicle in turn and have great fun along the way. Individual performances on the day are scored and the winner will receive our cut glass Driving Challenge Winner's Trophy! Wheel & Track Military 1/2 Day This heavy metal military half day delivers hands on experience at the wheel of 3 awesome military vehicles on a purpose built off-road course in the heart of Norfolk. Upon arrival and following a safety briefing it’s off to the course and first up it’s the 4.5 tonne 4x4 Ferret Armoured Scout Car. With permanent 4x4 wheeled drive these vehicle are capable of going just about anywhere. Next up you’ll get to grips with the 8.5 Tonne 6x6 Saracen Armoured Troop Transporter. At 8.5 tonnes they offer an incredible driving experience as the engine roars into action. Following the Saracen it’s time to swap wheels for caterpillar tracks and move into a different league. Track laying vehicles drive diferently to wheeled vehicles and the first thing you will (hopefully) notice is that there is no steering wheel. Two levers and an enormous accelerator pedal are the only controls to be mastered here! You will either take control of a fully tracked Sultan – a reconnaissance and combat vehicle capable of 70 mph OR you’ll get the chance drive the enormous 16.5 tonne fully tracked FV432 Armoured Personnel Carrier. Whichever tracked vehicle you drive it is certain to be an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience! The session includes pastries/ cakes upon arrival and complimentary tea/ coffee/ cold drinks. All safety equipment, overalls and instruction are provided Rally Driving (1/2 Day) Learn to drive, control and race Rally Cars over loose and tarmac stages in this fantastic 1/2 day lesson. You will learn the essentials of skid control, navigating a course at high speed and effective braking and accelerating On the track you will receive a mind-blowing and hair raising chauffeur driven tour with your instructor, then its down to you to put all you have learnt into practice. A fantastic and exhilarating experience! Timings are 09:00-13:00 or 13:00-17:00. The session will round off with a certificate presentation as a memento of the day. Following a safety briefing it’s time to get behind the wheel and head on to the legendary Goodwood Motor circuit following the racing line just as Moss, Hawthorn and Fangio did. As you rev the engine and release the clutch you will find out what these luxury cars are made of. Your session will comprise 3 laps of the 2.4 mile circuit and will last around 10 - 15 minutes. Lotus Elise Experience If you wish to experience the power and refined road holdling of the Lotus Elise, then the Lotus Experience is for you. You can learn advanced driving skills and techniques from your instructor in a car that not only has thrilling handling characteristics but also is a British manufacturing legend with true motor sport heritage. Skid Control Learn the secrets of skid avoidance and driving safely on ice or in slippery conditions during this 2 hour course. A high percentage of accidents involve some form of skid and aside from the fun hands on element of this lesson could save your life! It’s every drivers nightmare – you’re coming round that familiar corner and suddenly the rear of the car appears to have a mind of it’s own as you hit black ice or a patch of spilt diesel or mud. It doesn’t happen very often but if it did would you know what to do? Our experienced and fully qualified instructors will explain how and why a skid occurs before introducing you to one of our special skid control vehicles with a cradle that can reproduce different conditions such as ice or water. After a demonstration by our instructor, it’s your turn to have ago. Before long you’ll be deftly getting to grips with an oversteer slide and emergency braking. Learning is great fun and this hands on course could prove to be invaluable! Drivers will receive a certificate upon completion. Sports Quad Biking 250cc If you looking for the ultimate off road experiences then this quad safari could well be it! Over this 2 1/2 hour session you will scramble over a maze of tracks on our 90 acres site complete with narrow trails, tight turns and plenty of mud! Quad bikes are best described as a cross between a motorbike and a rally kart. These four wheeled, go anywhere, all terrain bikes are seriously powerful and seriously good fun. The bikes themselves are meaty unrestricted 250cc Polaris Trail Blazers. Equally suitable for male and female riders and very easy to master. Upon arrival you will be issued with safety equipment e.g helmets, goggles etc. and learn how to safely control your quad bike with a full explanation of the controls. You will start by riding out in the open well away from any of the challenging terrain you are likely to ride into later in the session. There is usually a ratio of three riders to one bike as they are incredibly physical to ride and you will need the breaks to recoup your energy. You will tackle the track in sections beginning with the easiest parts progressing through to the more demanding terrain as your skill and confidence increases. After everyone gets up to speed and confidence you set off into the woods for a fantastic quad safari experience with enough mud, jumps and climbs to keep your pulses screaming Stock Car Racing A classic half day of Stock car racing on an oval circuit. Not be confused with a demolition derby the aim of the race is to get to the chequered flag first with the least possible contact. The session will start with a full safety briefing and drivers will have the chance to get some practice laps under their belt and get used to the cars and track. After this it’s time to think tactics and how to win the race. For a start, you are not against the clock, you are racing against opponents and your aim is to cross that finish line first. If you push other cars to hard you will spin out putting you back to the back of the pack forcing you to fight your way once again towards the front. You can block or nudge the car in front at the next corner, to send them sliding out of your way. All these tactics may help, but you will still require a great deal of courage to ensure you cross the line first. The track may be wet which would make the action even more nail biting. A great day for all driving nuts who want to blow off a bit of steam! The day will comprise a briefing, individual practice laps and 3 competition races with race commentary throughout. All equipment and wet suits provided. Commando Weekend An action packed weekend in the wilderness where you will learn the skills associated with a military exercise. You will be given a ‘rifle’ and a brief for the weekend. Your aim will then be to accomplish such tasks as a night time recce of a target, clearance patrols, rope crossings of obstacles, living in the field and maybe some aquatic skills depending on weather conditions. The aim of the course is to take you from basic military skills to training for a covert operation. You will run through some of the necessary basis on Saturday before progressing on to the more advanced tactics you will need for your weekend’s task. Saturday night will see you put your skills to the test while you perform a series of tasks. After an action packed night you will take Sunday morning a little bit more easy before making good a retreat to a local hotel for a buffet lunch. This is the course for those wanting something more intensive and realistic than just paintballing or survival courses. Firefighter For A Day “An emergency call is received at the fire station ….. before you know it you are in the fire engine, blue lights flashing, sirens screaming racing to the action scene. As you approach, mayhem has taken over and wherever you look there are flames, however immediately you see two people beyond the flames shouting at you for help, you are their only chance!” This is one of our most popular action days and it’s not hard to see why! This is your chance to be a fully fledged fireman for the day. You will don your very own fireman’s uniform and breathing apparatus, drive a fire engine, tackle blazes and scramble through smoke filled tunnels as you prepare for the finale of the day!! The day runs from 09:00 – 16:30 and includes BBQ/ buffet lunch to ensure you keep your energy levels up. Upon arrival you will be met by our fire service qualified instructors. They will give a full safety briefing and programme overview followed by kit and uniform issue. Then its time for the real fun with the events running as follows: * Emergency Fire Engine Driving – Switch on the lights, sound the siren and floor it! * Fire Fighter Breathing Apparatus - Practice negotiating around smoke filled rooms & passages * Fire Extinguishing Exercise - Get to grips with fire hoses, pumps & appliances * BBQ/ Buffet Lunch - A well earned break * Instructor Demonstration - Tackling a ‘back draft’ fire or ‘flash overs’ * Fire Challenge - An opportunity to tackle a real life scenario such as an aircraft fuselage fire, car fire using hoses and rescue foam * Extrication & cutting equipment techniques * The Grand Finale – Time to put all the your skills and knowledge from the day into practice tackling a ‘live’ emergency incident. The day will round off with a de brief from the instructors followed by a certificate and framed photo presentation as a memento from the day. Kite Buggying This is your opportunity to experience the new extreme sport that everyone wants to try – Kite Buggying! A mixture of paragling/ kitesurfing & landyachting, except that instead of a fixed sail, a kite is under the control of the buggy rider and is used to propel the vehicle. Buggying has come a long way since it first started out in 1990. The latest buggies are purpose built, light, high performance vehicles and are easy to handle. Seated in your three wheel, lightweight stainless steel buggy with your kite airborne 20 metres from your outstretched arms, you have the power. Kite buggies are very manoeuvrable and easily controlled. The pilot can steer a course between objects, accelerate or decelerate at will and easily stop the buggy. The front wheel is steered by the pilot’s feet leaving both hands free to control the kites, with practice you can steer the buggy even upwind. Regardless of age, as long as you are reasonably fit, and have respect for the wind, it is not difficult to become a safe kite buggier This full day activity starts with 2 hours of flying different sizes of 4 line power kites. The following four hours are spent developing your skills and experience all that kite buggying has to offer. You will learn to create traction, move forwards/backwards and turning in tight circles. The sheer excitement and adrenalin rush of hurtling down the beach/grass or airstrip at 30mph in a kite buggy has to be experienced – this is not a sport for the faint hearted! Operation Bootcamp Are you tough enough to take on the challenge of ‘Operation Bootcamp’ and learn all the skills required by Special Forces?? During the day you will enter the virtual soldier battlefield and learn the skills of close quarter combat using an infra-red training system, descend the 60 foot abseil tower, drive a 12.5 ton armoured personnel carrier, train on the Grenade Range and stalk tanks using the ‘Steel Lance’ anti-armour projectile system. During a hot ‘rat-pack’ lunch you will receive instruction on survival skills and ‘Escape & Evasion’ tactics. On completion of your day you will qualify for your Certificate of Enlistment. After expert tuition on the ground, you are taken to a phenomenal 10,000 feet for a fantastic free fall and landing where you jump whilst harnessed to your instructor. UK Survival Courses: Night Navigation Imagine you are stranded in the middle of nowhere with only a map and compass and its going dark…….. This 24-hour course will take you from basic daylight navigation to a competent level of night navigation. The course covers several peaks over 3,000ft which you will need to navigate in complete darkness, and this is if you are lucky! Depending on the weather you may also need to account for thick cloud or poor weather conditions. The session begins with an afternoon classroom session involving going back to the basics before taking on a short practical test around the local area. This course is applicable to those who have a vague idea of how to use a map, right to complete novices who are looking for a challenge. Once evening falls you are transported to a remote spot where you and your instructors set out on several hours of high altitude summits and knife-edge ridges. You will be given a location to navigate to, and on arrival you will set up a Bivi out of items supplied by the instructors to get a few hours sleep. Ration packs are provided for your overnight stay and ALL navigation on Saturday evening will be done in complete darkness! On Sunday morning you will then navigate to a local area of outstanding beauty before taking a short walk to the local inn for lunch and debrief before departing. Virtual Soldier Your chance to get to the very edge of the ‘Battlefield experience’ and become a soldier in the ‘Virtual Combat’ arena. Using a purpose-built MOD Infra-red training system, recruits will use the SA80 style rifle which fires an invisible beam up to 40 metres. On hitting the enemy a sensor in their helmet sounds an alarm and deactivates any ammunition remaining in their weapon. Don’t worry though that you may spend the entire session as a spectator as all casualty’s have to report to the ‘Aid post’ for re-activation and reloading of the weapon in order to be able to get back into the action. Arriving on a Friday evening you will check into your accommodation and meet your instructors who will be with you throughout the weekend. Following breakfast on Saturday the group will be split into two groups (depending upon fitness and ability) and issued with safety equipment (Bikes can be hired if required). After a practice and safety briefing it’s time head on out for some two wheeled action! The biking trails you will be using are well established and selected to ensure a balance of action and fun for all levels of fitness. From long forest trails to technical single tracks with everything in between there will be something for everyone. Both groups will meet up for lunch to relax and recharge the batteries as well as giving you chance to swap groups if you want an easier/ harder afternoon. You will control an Extra 300 – One of the worlds top two seater competition aerobatic aircraft used by display teams throughout the world. This 9 litre, 300bhp this piston-engined aircraft handles just like a fighter jet and dishes out some serious G force along the way! To get you ready for the day ahead your extreme aerobatics experience will start with you being kitted out in flying suits and bone domes before being equipped with the essential knowledge - cockpit controls and safety briefing at the aircraft. Your pre-flight briefing will be ‘military style’ as you are instructed on safety and parachute drills plus how to fly the aircraft, aerobatics manoeuvres and shown a short video. A qualified guide accompanies you all the way on courses that include some great drops and some very fast water. Coasteering Coasteering is a new, high adrenalin sport not for the faint hearted! So what is Coasteering? Anything from traversing rock faces, climbing sea cliffs, abseiling, scrambling & swimming. Are you mad enough to jump off a cliff? The event takes place off the Pembrokeshire coast where in addition to casteering you wil get to try one other watersport from climbing/abseiling, kayaking, surfing or traversing cliffs during this seven hour event. All equipment and wet suits provided. Cowes Sailing Day This truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of one of the largest yacht-racing regatta’s on the calendar!. Over the course of a full day you will experience the unique spectacle of over 1,000 yachts battling to win some of the most prestigious trophies in the racing season and rub noses with some of the world’ s top sailors. In addition you will be trained as a crew member and battle it out in a series of exciting races. At the start of your day our skipper will meet you as you disembark from the hydrofoil and escort you to the Island Sailing Club for brunch. Following an introduction and safety briefing you will get familiarised with the boats controls and learn how to operate its controls. You will also get the chance to be a spectator and watch the professionals competing in the Solent. Following your training it’s time for you to taste some of the action as you take part in a series of short races between you and some other boats. You will soon find out first hand how fast and responsive these vessels really are how important tactics are in a real racing event. Your day will round off in the beer tent where you will be able to relax and reflect on the day’s events with the rest of the crew whilst enjoying the company of some of the world’s top sailors. This unique day is specifically tailored to allow ample time for sailing, spectating and enjoying the unforgettable atmosphere that is ‘Cowes week’! Endorphin Blaster - Full Day A fantastic full day of activity with lunch included where you will have the choice of two of the following activities at this fantastic lodge location on the Pembrokeshire coast: Coasteering - The ultimate coastal adventure – climb, swim and jump into a whole new world! Sea caves and swirling ocean swells combine to produce a truly wild environment. Sea Kayaking - Rocks, caves, seals, birds, waves, surf, beaches, harbours and much more make this a real sea kayakers paradise. Surfing - The art and science of riding ocean swells, with a little help from the instructors you’ll be standing up in no time! Mountain Biking - Quiet country lanes, deep wooded valleys and challenging tracks and trails. Powerboating Race Day Fast & furious and wet and wild! After an on land introduction and drivers briefing, you are given full training in a variety of one man powerboats. You will be let loose for extensive practise and racing in the very fast catamarans, monohulls and hydroplanes. A fantastic full day event, a seven hour Once in a Lifetime experience! in which lunch, commemorative certificate and t-shirt are included. Sailing Weekend Have you ever fancied spending a whole weekend away sailing and sleeping on a yacht? Well here’s your chance on this fantastic weekend break around the English Channel Whether you are a complete novice or looking to put hours in your log book as part of your RYA exams this course has something for everyone. Under the watchful eye of our skipper you will learn all aspects of sailing on our 32 ft 9 berth Sigma’s. The accommodation which is heated for year round comfort, has large spacious cabins with a fully fitted galley, and living area, a spacious navigation area with full electronic instrumentation and a separate toilet with washbasin. Experienced sailors will need no telling, but for those who have never tried it, sailing is an exhilarating way to spend a few day. From compete novice to aspiring Ocean yacht master this weekend will suit everyone as you glide over the waves of the English Channel en route to either the Isle of White or the French Coast. The weekend is a hands on trip which means as one of the crew you will actually help sail the boat. With a full 7 hours induction and sailing on Saturday followed by a friendly race on the Sunday this is an experience not to be missed. Breakfast tea and lunch are all included but evening meals are usually had onshore and will be paid by each individual. OVERVIEW: FRIDAY The weekend starts with the arrival at the marina on the Friday evening where our skipper and host will meet the group and help to stow the kit on board. After a quick briefing on the weekend itinerary and on-board safety procedures there will be an opportunity to have a meal at a local restaurant, or relax and prepare for the first night sleeping onboard the yacht. SATURDAY Saturday morning will start with a hearty breakfast, a full safety drill and briefing plus a run down of the tasks that will be undertaken during the day, then its time to cast off and set sail - the destination will be largely dictated by the weather conditions and prevailing winds. Wherever the boat ends up mooring for the night (usually the Isle of Wight), the skipper will know the area and will recommend a suitable pub or restaurant for dinner, a chance to relax and reflect on a days sailing. SUNDAY After Sundays breakfast on board it is time to hit the return leg. This usually involves the skippers arranging an impromptu race between the mini flotilla arriving back at Poole harbour in the late afternoon. Bring your sea legs and leave the rest up to your skipper who will ensure this is a great weekend break. WHAT THE WEEKEND INCLUDES : - Accommodation on board the yacht - Tuition - Free car parking - Safety equipment - All meals except evening meals - A set of waterproofs Surfing Day A fantastic opportunity to ride the waves! Following a safety briefing you will be issued with wet suits and transported to a nearby beach, (location dependent upon best surf on the day), where you will spend the morning/afternoon honing your surfing skills. Our fully qualified instructors all hold Surf Life Saving qualifications, and pride themselves on getting beginners riding the waves on their first day and our easy to ride 'long boards' make things even easier. Our instructors will be surfing right with you in the water giving encouragement and guidance. The emphasis is on fun and safety whilst providing you with the basic skills to continue on your own. Our instructors aim to get you hooked on surfing and so we will do whatever it takes to get you going. Yacht Racing Experience A unique opportunity to be a part of crew on a fantastic yacht racing day! This unique sailing experience is ideal for the person who wants to spend the day not just sailing but fully participating in the handling and racing of one of our 8 metre yachts. Upon arrival you will be met by your skipper who will give you a safety briefing and overview of the day ahead in the comfort of the yacht club. After donning buoyancy aids and waterproofs it’s off to the marina to get familiarised with the yacht and learn all techniques required for a day of sailing. Following a light lunch you and your 4 crew mates should be ready for the second part of the day - the racing! You will compete in a series of short races that will test your new skills to the maximum. You will soon find out first hand how fast and responsive these vessels really are! All the yachts in the flotilla are identical so to win a race you will have work well as a crew and employ some cunning race tactics to give you the edge. Your skipper will be with you every step of the way and offer useful hints, tips and tactical advice to ensure you get the most out of your time. The day will round off back in the clubhouse bar where you will be debriefed on your Individual/ team performances with an awards presentation for the overall best crew of the day.
